Versatile light control
The ev80 is a refined external venetian system designed to provide precise control over sunlight, glare, privacy and heat while maintaining a clean architectural appearance.
Its 80 mm rolled-edge aluminium slats can be adjusted through a wide range of angles, allowing occupants to respond to changing light conditions throughout the day. When open, the system maintains outward visibility and allows natural light into the building. When closed, the overlapping slats provide effective shading, privacy and protection from direct solar gain.
With its compact stacking height, slim profile and extensive range of installation configurations, the ev80 integrates seamlessly into both residential and commercial architecture.
Side channel guidance systems
Where stable and refined operation is required, the benefits of utilising side channel guidance systems far outweigh any other means of securing external venetians.
Side pins, constructed from Zamac, are an innovative means of stabilising and improving the performance of the ev80. These pins are machine riveted to the slats which then engage into the side channels. Each extruded aluminium side guide has an insert, or keder, which acts to minimise friction, resistance and resonance.
The result is a more stable blind with controlled movement through the side channels, helping the ev80 operate smoothly and quietly while maintaining the alignment of the slats.
Operation
The ev80 provides precise and incremental control over the angle of the slats, allowing the system to be adjusted according to changing light, privacy and shading requirements.
The lifting system utilises UV-stable Texband tape which passes through precision-machined, punched and drawn holes along the length of the slats. This allows the blind to raise and lower smoothly while maintaining consistent alignment throughout its travel.
Combined with the Zamac side-pin guidance system, the ev80 delivers stable, quiet and refined operation whether the blind is being raised, lowered or adjusted to control the amount of light entering the building.

System Overview
The ev80 is an 80 mm external venetian blind system designed for architectural façades requiring precise solar control, privacy and motorised tilt operation. Its adjustable aluminium slats provide extensive control over natural light and heat while maintaining outward visibility when desired. Combined with machine-riveted Zamac side pins and extruded aluminium side channels with keder inserts, the ev80 delivers stable, quiet and refined operation across a wide range of residential and commercial applications.
Motorisation
The ev80 is compatible with the Geiger GJ56 tubular motor, enabling fully automated tilt and lift operation. Integration with building management systems, sun tracking sensors and smart home platforms allows the facade to respond dynamically to solar conditions — maximising thermal comfort while minimising energy loads.
