Minimal architectural guidance
The ev80 wire guide system provides the same precise control of sunlight, glare and privacy as the ev80 side channel system, with a more minimal approach to guidance.
High-quality stainless steel wire guides secure the blind while maintaining a discreet presence across the façade. With no side channels required, the system is particularly suited to applications where clean sightlines, minimal visual obstruction and architectural simplicity are priorities.
The 80 mm concave and convex aluminium slats can be adjusted through a wide range of angles, allowing natural light and outward views to be balanced with shade, privacy and solar protection throughout the day.
Wire guidance system
Wire guides are an effective means of anchoring ev80 external venetians to their fixings while providing minimal visual obstruction.
High-quality 316 marine-grade stainless steel wire is utilised, coated with a UV-stable PVC sheath to minimise interference and friction with the slat surface. A purpose-designed attachment system fastens the wire securely to the headrail, with numerous anchoring and termination options available, including deck plates and stand-offs.
The restrained appearance of the wire guidance system makes it particularly well suited to architectural applications where maintaining clean lines and an uninterrupted façade is important.
As with all wire-guided external venetians, wind loading can result in movement, vibration and resonance. Due to the single concave/convex profile of the ev80 slat, approximately 20% light filtering remains when the slats are closed.
Operation
The ev80 provides precise and incremental control over the angle of the slats, allowing sunlight, glare and privacy to be adjusted as conditions change throughout the day.
The lifting system utilises UV-stable Texband tape which passes through precision-machined, punched and drawn holes along the length of the slats. This allows the blind to raise and lower smoothly while maintaining consistent alignment throughout its travel.
With its discreet stainless steel wire guidance, the system retains the lightweight architectural character of the ev80 while providing secure anchoring at each side of the blind.

Its adjustable concave and convex aluminium slats provide precise control over natural light and heat, while 316 marine-grade stainless steel wire guides provide discreet anchoring without the need for side channels. PVC-coated guidance wires and flexible termination options create a refined system particularly suited to open and visually lightweight façade applications.
Motorisation
The ev80 is compatible with the Geiger GJ56 tubular motor, enabling fully automated tilt and lift operation. Integration with building management systems, sun tracking sensors and smart home platforms allows the facade to respond dynamically to solar conditions — maximising thermal comfort while minimising energy loads.
